The ruling team will make a final decision on the presidential candidate in a few days. "Georgian Dream" will discuss at the political council which independent candidate will they support in the presidential election.

Archil Talakvadze, the leader of the parliamentary majority, the member of the faction "Georgian Dream" says that Georgian Dream will not have its candidate.

Talakvadze does not exclude holding the second round of elections, but notes that the candidates have the chance to win in the first round.

"We will have a discussion at the political council session and we will inform you about the decision, of course," Talakvadze said.

The First Deputy Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, Tamar Chugoshvili, member of the faction "Georgian Dream" speaks about the support provided by the legislation for the independent candidate.

"The legislative gives us the opportunity to support the candidate who does not participate in the electoral process on our behalf. Of course, there are many opportunities," Chugoshvili said.
