The markets are in crisis - small entrepreneurs can not sell expensive products, and the consumer returns home with semi-empty bags.

Over the last week, the products have become more expensive. Traders say that the reason is a 7-percent impairment of the national currency, resulting in at least 10% increase in prices.

In the bakeries the bread has already increased by 5-10 tetri. Smaller entrepreneurs say prices are raised due to increased tariffs. Where they are still maintaining old tariffs, they say that the price for bread will rise in bakeries from Monday.

Petrol prices have increased by 2-3 tetri today. Oil importers link prices to the impairment of the lari and in the nearest future the fuel price will also increase.

Economy experts forecast increase of the prices and increase of life in general in the country.

In the last month, the national currency of Georgia has been depreciated by 7%. The purchase of one US dollar for the first June was two lari and 44 tetri, today one dollar is 2 lari and 62 tetri.

The official index of inflation by 3%.has been confirmed for the first time this year. Experts do not have positive expectations for the nearest period.
