Today is the deadline when the initiative group and the registered party can apply to the CEC chairperson for registration of the candidate.

The deadline for submitting the candidate is determined by the legislation on the basis of the election day.

According to the CEC spokesperson Ana Mikeladze, after September 8 it will be possible no later than the 40th day before the Election Day to submit the signatures.

After inspection of the signatures, the election administration shall register the presidential candidates no later than thirty days prior to the Election Day if all the documents presented by them, including the signatures will be in compliance with the Georgian legislation.
