New details about marijuana cultivation law become known. The government will create a new agency for the production, processing and export of cannabis.

The new agency will be added to the government. A head of the Cannabis Control Agency will be appointed by the Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture and function will be regulating activities related to the legacy of cannabis. The agency will issues licenses. Only the legal entities will be given a five-year term in Georgia for cultivation of marijuana.

The Cannabis Control Agency will be accountable to the Parliament. The MPs will receive annual reports.

The opposition has already criticized the legislative amendments. Part of the MPs support legalization, but the cultivation should not be allowed. The parliamentary opposition suspects that the concrete people will receive a solid benefit.
