US-Georgia relations are now more important than ever before - The American edition The Hill publishes the letter of the Prime Minister of Georgia.

In the publication Mamuka Bakhtadze writes that there is strong cooperation in the security and defense sphere between Georgia and the United States, and the government shares President Trump’s view that dialogue with foes is far preferable to conflict.

The head of the government of Georgia writes that 10 years ago, Russia invaded 20 percent of the territory of Georgia and has not yet reacted to the government"s appeal to find a satisfactory solution.
"In the face of ongoing occupation, we seek neither conflict nor confrontation. We continue to work towards a peaceful and practical solution to Russia’s ongoing occupation of our lands. We are trying our best to de-escalate tensions, but, to date, the Russian government has not responded to our appeals to find a satisfactory solution.We believe a strong and prosperous Georgia is in Russia’s national interest and should not be viewed as a threat. Moreover, Moscow should not view Georgia in the context of confrontation with the West,"- Mamuka Bakhtadze said.
