Parliament begins discussion of the draft law on marijuana, which concerns only the consumption terms.

Following an acute assessment of the Patriarchate, the legislature has delayed discussing the project with regard to cannabis production and export.

"Only one part of this package will be discussed. Namely the prohibitions on the use of marijuana. This is urgent because the decision of the Constitutional Court does not regulate the issue of the use of marijuana in terms of conditions, "said the chairman of the Committee on Procedural Issues Giorgi Kakhiani.

The opposition does not intend to support the draft law. According to the "National Movement", the draft law prepared by the MIA is absurd.

"There are many norms that do not fit into the logic that contradict the decision of the Constitutional Court," said Roman Gotsiridze.

During the next session week, the Parliament will discuss one more important issue. At the session the report prepared by the Parliamentary Investigation Commission on Khorava Street murder will be heard. Before that, the MPs will approve the agenda at today"s bureau sitting.
