The amendments to the investigative system are being discussed at the hotel "Radisson" at this moment. The meeting is attended by the Chief Prosecutor, Ministry of Internal Affairs and NGOs.
Shalva Tadumadze, the Chief Prosecutor spoke about the shortcomings of the current legislation. According to him, the absence of a clear limitation between investigative activities and prosecutor"s supervision causes duplication of functions.
"One of the biggest problems in the current legislation is that there is no clear margin between investigative activities and prosecutor"s supervision," Shalva Tadumadze said.
