Vano Chkhartishvili"s lawyer made a statement on scandalous video footage about the TV company "Iberia" and "Omega Group".

Zaza Khatiashvili confirms that the meeting between Vano Chkhartishvili, Zaza Okuashvili and Irakli Chubinishvili really took place, although he claims that the meeting was held in 2017 and discussed ways to get the tobacco business out of the deadlock. There was no talk of TV company Iberia.

As for the scheme shown in the video recording, Chkhartishvili"s lawyer says that the plan was canceled due to the large debt of Omega Group, because the company could not pay for it.

"This meeting was really held in 2017. The meeting focused on the possibility of possible association of the two largest Georgian enterprises based on the business environment and the goal of the meeting was to save Georgian enterprises from financial crisis," Zaza Khatiashvili says.
