The majority of the population of Georgia thinks that the government participates in corrupt deals - the results of the survey conducted by Open Society Georgia Foundation. According to data, 69% of respondents think that senior government officials use power for personal gain. 59% of respondents believe that officials protect businesses in exchange for money.
According to the survey, 60% of respondents are convinced that powerful government officials use power to cover illegal revenue.77% of the population believes that high officials of the government have their business in parallel with the government. 41% thinks the problem is when the official works in the public service and is also involved in business activities.62% of the population think that if the big business corporation will finance the opposition, then the government will create problems for them.Opponents of the government say that the survey shows a serious picture of corruption that has been created under the "Georgian Dream" government.In the ruling team they do not agree with the results of the survey and say that there is no corruption in the government.
