The President of Georgia is against building a US base in Georgia - Salome Zourabichvili made an interview with "Voice of America".
In response to the question asked, the President says that security for Georgia is of utmost importance and everything should be done in order to prevent actions that might be considered as a provocation.
"There is no need to take steps that can be perceived as a provocation. Besides, I do not think the US will be ready for placing a military base here. It will attract attention not only from Russia but from terrorist movements that are quite active in our region, "the president said.
