The “Kurieri” asked a press spokesman about the threats from Kremlin every time when it comes to Georgia"s aspiration to join NATO. Dmitry Peskov calls NATO"s military infrastructure a threat. According to him, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization block was set up for confrontation and that if Georgia was associated with that block, then the threat would start from the territory of Georgia.

Putin"s spokesperson reiterates that Georgia"s NATO membership is unacceptable for Russia.

Peskov says that Russia is taking retaliatory measures to ensure security, and there is nothing surprising about it.

This is not a block that exists for peace, and therefore, if Georgia, for example, is associated with it, with NATO which is created to confront our country, it means that the threat begins to operate from the territory of Georgia. That"s why, like any country, Russia is doing everything to ensure its security. There is nothing aggressive in it”, - said Dmitry Peskov.
