The information that Turkey has a claim on Batumi is not true. Such statement Turkish Ambassador to Georgia Fatma Ceren Yazgan made, commenting the information that is spreading in fake Facebook pages on behalf of the Turkish National Defense Minister. She added that Turkey reaffirms Georgia"s territorial integrity and sovereignty.

“We see that a wave of misinformation about Turkey is being spread in Georgia during the last 2-3 days. There are various sources of this misinformation. A very big wave of misinformation appeared, especially with regard to Adjara region and Turkish-Georgian relations. I would like to emphasize that the border between Turkey and Georgia is delimited and marked”, - said the Ambassador.
