France restricts the health care to newly arrived asylum seekers

France restricts the health care to newly arrived asylum seekers - French authorities are tightening immigration rules.

The Prime Minister Edouard Philippe announced the closure of tent camps, quotas for migrant workers and limits on access to non-urgent healthcare for newly arrived asylum seekers as part of a drive to show that the government is heeding voters’ concerns about immigration.

About 1600 migrants have been removed from the tent camps.

Newly arrived asylum seekers in France will no longer have access to health care except in emergencies.
