Italy football legend Paolo Maldini and his son Daniel are the latest in a growing list of high-profile sports personalities who have tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
The news comes just hours after Juventus superstar Paulo Dybala confirmed that he and his girlfriend also contracted the virus.
Paolo, regarded as one of the greatest defenders ever to play for Italy, represented the national team in 126 matches and scored 7 goals. He spent 25 years at AC Milan and made 647 appearances, scoring 29 goals in the process. He is the current technical director at AC Milan.
Paolo’s 18-year-old son Daniel made his AC Milan debut this season.
