The condition of the 23-year-old woman, hospitalized because of the burns received as a result of gasoline, is serious, said Guga Kashibadze, the Head of the Khechinashvili University Hospital Burn Centre.
“She was brought in at dawn and placed in the resuscitation department of the burn center. She has thermal burns on 37% of the body, II – III degree. Both of the thighs and both shins are damaged. She was injured by a gasoline flame and is in a state of burn shock”, - said Guga Kashibadze.
Police detained Sh.G. (DoB 1996) in Tbilisi for the attempted murder. Investigation established that on the basis of conflict he verbally and physically assaulted S.Sh (DoB 1996) in front of his house, poured gasoline on the victim and set fire. S.Sh. has been transferred to the hospital with burns on his body.
Law enforcers seized bottle with gasoline as evidence. Detainee has already pleaded guilty. Investigation is in progress on the fact of the attempted murder, committed crime envisages from 7 to 15 years of imprisonment.
