A special operation is underway in the Avlabari district of Tbilisi, where an armed attack broke into the Bank of Georgia.

Numerous law enforcers are mobilized on the spot.

How many people have been taken hostage is still unknown. Neither the Ministry of Internal Affairs nor the Bank of Georgia has made any comment on the above.

The subway station is closed. The population is evacuated from the nearby territory. Emergency services are present at the site.
