On the initiative of the Georgian diaspora in Canada, an honorary award was presented to the family of Nodar Kumaritashvili, the Georgian athlete who tragically died at the 2010 Olympics.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador and the Head of Diaspora addressed the public.

The honorary medal was given to Nodar Kumaritashvili’s sister, Mariam Kumaritashvili.
