Mrs Salome [Zourabichvili] will certainly get approval for the request to visit Brussels - it is a technical issue that administrations decide between themselves and it is frivolous and inappropriate to bring it up in public. Such a statement made today the Prime Minister of Georgia, while responding to the statement of the President’s Administration that the Government has not yet given approval of Salome Zourabichvili’s visit to Brussels.
“It is very embarrassing to talk about these topics. It is a technical issue that is decided by the administrations among themselves. It is frivolous and inappropriate to bring this up in public. It doesn’t deserve that much attention.
Of course, Mrs Salome will certainly get approval for the request to visit Brussels. She said that she had a previously planned visit to the European Parliament, they were waiting for her, but she did not go and blamed us.
In this regard, we made public the information that we had given consent. This is an attempt to divert attention. Nothing happens at all. We are working, and the most important thing is what we are implementing”, - said Irakli Garibashvili.
