Parliament adopted the bill initiated by Khatia Dekanoidze and Roman Gotsiridze in the 2nd reading

The Parliament conducted an accelerated discussion and endorsed, in the second reading, the proposed changes to the Rules of Procedure with 91 votes.

The initiative for these changes was put forth by MPs Roman Gotsiridze and Khatia Dekanoidze.

According to the amendment, members of parliament who were elected through the nomination of a specific political party or electoral bloc will have the right to form a political group if they have left the respective party or bloc.

This right applies to members of parliament elected by the same party or bloc who have already formed a faction, prior to the recognition of the authority of the Parliament elected in the 2024 elections.
