When we are shamefully accused of being connected with the Kremlin, we always have a strong reaction to it. In the second part, I admit that it was emotionally excessive, due to the severity of the statement we heard, and for that, I want to apologize, said today Irakli Beraia, Chairman of the Defense and Security Committee of the Parliament.
“It is very painful and hard for us when our team and I are personally unfairly accused of pursuing the interests of Russia, especially when this has a systemic nature.
For us, this is a red line that we will never tolerate, because we know very well what we are doing for the national interests of the country.
When we are shamefully accused of damaging our national interests and having connection with the Kremlin, we always have a strong reaction to this, and this speech was also intended to respond to such a statement. In the second part, I honestly admit that it was excessive due to the severity of the statement that we heard, and for that, I want to apologize”, - said Irakli Beraia.
Irakli Beraia called independent MP Teona Akubardia a “shameless and disgraceful liar” and stated that her statement, as if the Government representatives “didn’t support the pro-Georgia amendment at the NATO Parliamentary Assembly”, is deliberate misinformation.
