Snowfall, danger of avalanches, deterioration of visibility - the NEA warns population about the deterioration of the weather

According to the National Environment Agency, on November 23, from the second half of the day until late in the evening, rain is expected in Western Georgia, snow in high mountain regions, strong in some places, avalanches are possible.

“The expected precipitations on the rivers of Western Georgia may cause a significant increase in water levels, and in the hilly areas, landslides and mudslides may occur and activate.

Due to the expected heavy snowfall, avalanche danger and deterioration of visibility in the mountainous regions of Georgia, it is possible to restrict the traffic on certain sections of the highways”, - reads the statement of the agency.
