The European Union will continue to strongly support Georgia in the integration process - Pawel Herczynski

The European Union will continue to strongly support Georgia in the process of integration. Such a statement made the Ambassador of the European Union to Georgia.

“Today, we are a few days away from the decision of the European Council on Georgia"s candidate status, which will move Georgia to the next stage on the path to EU membership. We are on this common path.

The European Union, within the framework of the European Neighborhood Program for Agricultural Development, has been supporting Georgia’s agriculture and rural development strategy for 10 years. This is the flagship of EU aid to Georgia. Currently, in the context of our cooperation agreement and agreement on the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area, we are in the fourth stage. It focuses on a holistic approach to Georgia"s agricultural development and food security. Georgia has significantly moved closer to the EU food product quality regulations and standards. The rapprochement with the European Union allowed the development of Georgia"s local market, and as a result, Georgian exports to the European Union increased”, - said Pawel Herczynski.
