Discussions about inviting partners to the Washington Summit have not yet begun. NATO Secretary General’s Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia said this at the press conference in Tbilisi.
Javier Colomina expressed confidence that Georgia will be represented at the summit, but the specific level of representation remains uncertain.
“This is difficult to say who is going to attend the Washington Summit. It is a conversation that allies need to have, and it is a decision that has to be taken by allies. In my view, Georgia will be represented somehow. I don’t know at which level, but I believe there is enough substance to consider that Georgia will have to be invited. It is difficult to say whether the invitation will come at the highest level or at the ministry level, but I believe and I’m quite confident that at the end of the day, we will see Georgia representation there”, - added the NATO Special Representative.
