Today and tomorrow [January 10 - 11] the access of media representatives to the Sameba Cathedral will be restricted without the appropriate. The relevant statement was released by the Georgian Patriarchate.

“Due to the act of vandalism that happened in the Trinity [Sameba] Cathedral of Sami yesterday, today and tomorrow the access of media representatives to the cathedral will be restricted without the appropriate accreditation.

The said decision was taken to avoid further misunderstanding and tension in the temple”, - reads the statement.

On January 9, the icon of the St. Matrona, which is located in the Holy Trinity Cathedral, with the image of Joseph Stalin, was painted.
