Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze familiarized himself with the process of construction of the Public School #16 in Batumi, also gaining an insight into the project’s progress.
This modern-standard three-story facility incorporates 40 classrooms fit to accommodate 2,000 students in 2 shifts. The project includes laboratories, a library, a computer room, a 300-seat assembly hall, outdoor and indoor sports grounds with spectator stands. The building meets the needs of persons with disabilities.
The project, valued at 17,388,170 GEL, is carried out by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport of Adjara.
The Head of the Government also opened the Chakvi Weightlifting Base. A new three-story facility has been built for the base, and it is equipped with all necessary infrastructure and meets the needs of persons with disabilities.
The main section of the 1st floor is reserved for 180-seat competition and exercise halls. The 2nd and 3rd floors house office and rest areas, also a conference hall and hotel rooms for visiting athletes. The project’s budget is 4,794,361 GEL.
