What the Georgian Dream [GD] accused the opposition of for years, it turned out that it itself was involved in this activity. Such a statement made today the Secretary General of the United National Movement Petre Tsiskarishvili, while commenting the conclusion of the Helsinki Commission [HC].
“The HC, which includes representatives of the Congress and the US government, made an official statement yesterday regarding the fact that GD is involved in international crime, robs foreign citizens and uses this black criminal money against the opposition, to destroy the Georgian people and democracy in Georgia. The State Department should take appropriate measures in this regard.
Friends, you will hear a lot of explanations about this being a pre-sanctions announcement, that there is evidence for this - all of that is correct, and I"m sure it will be. Apart from that, what else should the Georgian society conclude: this is the clearest signal of recent times that the country is ruled by a criminal syndicate, it is not just a political statement, it is a legally supported accusation, which would not have been voiced if there were no indisputable evidence of the said Regarding the activity.
We must remember that the illusion of the GD that if they win the elections, then they will manage to “sort out” relations with the West, this is a big illusion and a lie. No one should believe this, because this government repeatedly crossed political red lines, established autocracy, involved the country in corruption, impoverished it, now they have crossed international red lines, and no one will really forgive them for this crime.
Another conclusion that can be drawn from the statement of the Helsinki Commission is that what GD accused the opposition of for years, it turned out that it itself was involved in this activity. If we cannot go to the West under the conditions of this government, we will not be able to maintain the relationship that existed before, and the situation, unfortunately, will worsen. Therefore, on October 26, we should make a historic decision, this will really be the last struggle of the people and democracy in Georgia”, - said Petre Tsiskarishvili.
According to the HC, the GD “relies on black money received from a network of fraudulent call centers around the world to finance its activities and harass the opposition”.
