I want to do charity work and open small gyms in Georgia and I will spent this money for charity. This is how the Georgian UFC champion Merab Dvalishvili responded to the decision of the Prime Minister of Georgia.

“As for this gift, I really didn’t expect it. You know that we are professional athletes and we are not on the state balance and we have achieved all this on our own.

I had no expectations either. Of course, thank [Government] for this gift and I will fully use this amount to charity, the development of Georgian sports and MMA in Georgia”, - said Merab Dvalishvili.

The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, said today that the Government made a decision to give a monetary reward of GEL 1 million to Merab Dvalishvili, as well as to Ilia Topuria”.
