The Chairman of the Education, Science, and Youth Affairs Committee, Givi Mikanadze, met with the newly appointed Ambassador of the UK to Georgia, Gareth Ward.

During this introductory meeting, the two sides discussed the bilateral relations between Georgia and the United Kingdom. Givi Mikanadze informed the Ambassador about the key areas of focus and planned reforms of the Education, Science, and Youth Affairs Committee.

The role and importance of the British Council in strengthening ties between Georgia and the United Kingdom were also highlighted during the discussion.

Givi Mikanadze congratulated Gareth Ward on his appointment and wished him success in his new position.
