Tbilisi Mayor visited First Republic Square where a large screen has been installed for Georgian football fans.

Assessing today’s match, Kakha Kaladze acknowledged that despite some absences, Georgian players will give their all to please the supporters.

“Albania is generally an awkward opponent, not just for our team but for everyone. Today’s match won’t be easy, but I believe our players will do everything to succeed. Given our tournament standing, today’s victory is crucial. The pitch is in excellent condition, unlike during the Ukraine match. All conditions are set for Georgia’s national team to showcase beautiful football. Unfortunately, Giorgi Kochorashvili is absent. He’s one of the team’s outstanding leaders and a key player. I’ll reiterate without hesitation that Otar Kiteishvili and Giorgi Kochorashvili are vital players for our national team. Kochorashvili’s absence is a significant loss, but we have many young players. I want to wish our fellows success. The main thing is to maintain the same determination and passion as in previous matches, and I’m sure we’ll see results”, - said the Mayor.

The next UEFA Nations League group stage match will take place today at 20:00 at Mikheil Meskhi Stadium, where the Georgian national football team will face the Albanian national team.
