If the European Union is interested in regime change in Georgia and the return of the [United] National Movement to power, the EU Ambassador should confirm this. Such a statement the Prime Minister of Georgia made while commenting David Kirtadze’s visit to the European Union office.
“I think you should ask the representatives of the European Union whether regime change is their task in this country. I think it would be good if you ask this question, for example, to the EU Ambassador in Georgia.
This is a question to be asked, based on the fact that the opposition directly talks about the fact that the task of the European Union in Georgia is regime change and the return of “nationalists” [representatives of the UNM] to power. The return of the people who tortured and killed people in this country, hijacked businesses, hijacked TV stations, dragged this country into war. If the EU wants regime change and, moreover, the return of these criminals to power, then the EU Ambassador should confirm it”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
