The role of the diaspora is crucial in strengthening our country, one of our priorities is to empower the diaspora, ensure their more active involvement in the development of our nation. Such a statement the Prime Minister of Georgia made at the closing ceremony of the Ambassadors’ Conference.

“A key priority for Georgia is raising the country’s international profile, deepening economic cooperation, promoting exports and attracting investments. Our government is actively working to strengthen Georgia"s transit role and connectivity. Traditionally, Georgia has played a vital role in connectivity, historically linking Europe and Asia, the West and the East. We must do everything possible to restore this strategic function, and the government is taking significant steps in this direction, including substantial investments in infrastructure development. Alongside these efforts, diplomatic activities are essential to further enhance our connectivity role. Among the most critical projects in this regard are the Black Sea Submarine Cable and the Anaklia Deep-Sea Port, where Georgian diplomacy has played a pivotal role in ensuring their success.

We have specific initiatives and projects, but even more effort is needed to ensure that the interests of the diaspora are more fully taken into account and that their engagement in the life and development of our country is further enhanced.
