Georgia’s success in 2024, as in previous years, was built by countless individuals, said the Prime Minister of the country in his New Year greeting.
“I thank educators, scientists, artists, doctors, farmers, laborers, entrepreneurs, public servants and professionals from all walks of life for your contributions to the progress of our homeland. I congratulate representatives of the older generation who, despite numerous hardships, have preserved our country’s freedom, independence and success to this day.
I congratulate the youth, who, with your education and patriotism, will shape Georgia’s bright, prosperous and European future.
I wish to extend special gratitude to our soldiers, police officers, judges, prosecutors and representatives of security agencies. The freedom and strength of the Georgian state depend significantly on each of you. Thank you for your dedicated and honorable service to our homeland.
I also extend special thanks to our Mother Church, the Catholicos-Patriarch of Georgia, and every clergyman whose invaluable contributions preserve and uphold Georgia"s national identity and values. I express my gratitude to all religious denominations for their efforts to safeguard our traditional values.
The year 2024 was filled with victories. Our achievements were best reflected in sports. For the first time in history, Georgia"s national football team qualified for the European Championship, gifting us unforgettable moments. Our young footballers achieved similar success and our Olympians and Paralympians delivered their best results in history. Our basketball players, rugby players, water polo players and handball players also brought us significant victories. The year 2024 was unprecedentedly successful across almost every sport.
This reminds us once again how powerful the Georgian spirit is and how much we must cherish it. The year 2024 was also successful in terms of economic development. Numerous critical projects were implemented, laying a solid foundation for Georgia"s better future”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
