The trial of former Co-Investment Fund director is underway at Tbilisi City Court. At the hearing, Giorgi Bachiashvili detailed how his transfer to Georgia took place.

"I am innocent… Today, I want to reveal a major international crime. On May 24, I was kidnapped abroad, blindfolded for two days, then flown to Georgia on an Airzena plane as a kidnapped person. While history records many complex cases, the criminal group, calling itself the Georgian government, has truly outdone itself.

I don`t know what they told that country, but they misled them, turning my case into an international scandal. Interpol had suspended its search for me, yet on Ivanishvili`s orders, they resorted to banditry and kidnapped me, violating all norms. I ask that my statement serve as grounds for an investigation. I am willing to share every detail", - said Giorgi Bachiashvili.
