The First Vice Speaker of the Parliament said a recent prank call to a former head of USAID [Samantha Power] has revealed that billions in US funding were spent on managing “political processes” in other countries.
“The public should know that pranksters called a former head of USAID and received an admission that billions of dollars, a figure mentioned by the new US administration, were spent to manage processes that were political in nature, oriented toward a specific task, and this task implied quite serious results.
… We see what is happening in Ukraine, as well as in Moldova; this topic was discussed there, but we should not exclude the issue of Georgia.
We hope that the new US administration will pay attention to the issue of Georgia, since we know from them that tens of millions of dollars were spent in Georgia during the pre-election period and after the elections in order to organize this process of destabilization”, - said Gia Volski.
