Georgian Interior Ministry responds to the recent developments on the Melikishvili Avenue in Tbilisi.

“The Ministry of Internal Affairs, based on the report made by the representatives of the Georgian Dream - Democratic Georgia party, has launched an investigation into the fact of damaging the election banners under Article 187 of the Criminal Code of Georgia which refers to damage or destruction of an object.

Law enforcement officers are conducting appropriate investigative actions regarding the fact”, - reads the statement.
