Catholicos - Patriarch Ilia II hospitalized after deterioration in health

Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Ilia II, has been admitted to the Caucasus Medical Centre following a deterioration in his state of health. The Patriarch is currently under close medical supervision.

According to the existing information, his condition worsened overnight. The Minister of Health and attending physicians have confirmed that he has undergone a full series of examinations and all necessary medical procedures.

As the attending physician said, the Patriarch`s condition is presently stable, though it remains a matter of serious concern.
