Non-parliamentary opposition plans to hold meetings withCouncil of Europe and Venice Commission

 

From the next week, the opposition party are planning to start the boycott of the constitutional commission.
According to the non-parliamentary opposition, the ruling party is going to take decisions single-handedly regarding the rule of the president`s elections , the election model and the abolition of the blocks.

"We intend to hold intensive meetings with the Council of Europe, the Venice Commission and other international organizations and provide the information on how the Georgian Dream is adopting the constitution, how they are trying to establis totalitarian regime in Georgia," said Paata Davitaia, the chairperson of the European Democrats of Georgia.

Representatives of the political subjects united in the inter-party group are sure that the activities of the commission will lose legitimacy against the boycott.
