Protest rally is underway in Khando Gorge . The locals are trying to stop special machines that start to build high-power electric transmission line.

According to locals, construction of high voltage transmission line will result ecological catastrophe and threaten their houses.

The locals demand to let them to get to the area where high voltage transmission lines are being installed. As a result a confrontation between patrol police and locals took place.

The inhabitants of Khando gorge say that a few days ago the part of the mountain was cut off.

According to the company Energotrans,building of the lines has not started yet and they believe that it will cause minimum damage to the environment.
Jemal Akhalaia, The Deputy Director of Technical Affairs said that the works are in line with all the norm.
