A Senior Specialist of Zugdidi Municipality City Supervision and Architecture Service is detained on the fact of taking bribes.

According to the State Security Service, the defendant demanded 20 000 USD from a foreign citizen as a bribe in exchange for a restaurant construction permit and approval of construction project in Zugdidi.

According to the Agency, on 30 November 2017, the applicant took a part of the demanded amount - USD 10 000. He was detained during the process.

An Investigation is in progress on the fact of taking bribes, under Article 338 , which envisages a deprivation of liberty from 11 to 15 years.
