The Conference on the creation of protected areas in Samegrelo and the preservation of biodiversity in high mountainous regions was held in Tbilisi.

The project has been implemented in the region over the last two years with the Swiss support and research, promoting conservation of local habitats and improving the level of life of target communities.

Greening and cleaning actions were also held. The restoration works of segments of the degraded forests and windbreaks have been carried out. School Olympiads and Eco Camps were arranged.
