The Georgian Bar Association is electing a new chairperson. 12 candidates are participating in the elections. The chairperson will be chosen by the voting majority in the secret ballot.

4 970 lawyers are registered in "Georgian Bar Association". According to the regulations, the congregation needs the presence of at least 800 members to have the quorum.

The process of registration at the "Bar Association" is underway at this moment. Then the lawyers will be moved to the Sports Palace Hall where 12 candidates will present their own program, after which the vote will start at 15:00.

Candidates say that the pre-election period was quite tense. The open confrontation between the rivals was particularly intense during the days preceding the voting.
