The issue of the second round of the Bar Association elections will be resolved today.
The statement was made by Ivane Petriashvili, the chairperson of the vote counting commission of the Bar Association. The reason for delay in the counting process was named the fault of the procedure.
"As to the question of why the second round is necessary, the matter is that the statute states that the number of votes is counted according to the majority of attendees. The procedure did not exactly describe what is meant under attendees. The different understanding of this term was possible. In the end, the Commission made a decision. The final results will be in the summary protocol, presumably today and the second round will probably be discussed today, "Ivane Petriashvili said.
