Nino Lomjaria responds to the detention of the third president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili.

According to her, the Public Defender"s Office is closely monitoring events taking place in Ukraine and as soon as Saakashvili"s case becomes part of Georgia"s jurisdiction, they will join the process.

"The Public Defender is obliged to protectand the rights of citizens of Georgia on the territory of Georgia and abroad. Accordingly, as soon as this topic becomes part of Georgian jurisdiction the Public Defender we will be involved in this process, "said Nino Lomjaria.
