The State Audit Office has submitted a 4-year development strategy. The general auditor introduced the document to the Prime Minister, the Chairman of the Parliament, the Government representatives and the diplomatic corps.

Irakli Mekvabishvili has focused on the independence and institutional strengthening of the service.

"We think that we will create an effective system of governance that will improve global and qualitatively change in the public finances management process," Mekvabishvili said.
