Roman Gotsiridze, the member of UNM has responded to the trial, which discusses the so-called case of pardoning a detainee by Mikheil Saakashvili.

"The Ukrainian prosecution has requested the imprisonment because of the death threat from the Special Service of a particular country. Therefore they have decided to take care of him and lock him at home. Such an absurd cannot take place anywhere else. Now the same absurd takes place at the City Court. Mikheil Saakashvili is judged due to the implementation of his constitutional rights, "said Roman Gotsiridze.

Gotsiridze called the process against Mikheil Saakashvili in the City Court as absurd. The MP appealed to the government to stop political persecution against the third president of Georgia.
