The President of Georgia met with students of the Institute of Public Affairs. Giorgi Margvelashvili delivered a public lecture.
The President spoke about the role of society in democratic development of the country and the need to fulfill the controllng functions by the public. He also answered the questions of the students.
"Democracy, naturally, is the most adequate form to protect the rights of individuals and if citizens or the society fail to take the democratic process in their hands, democracy can turn into a completely different form of governance," Giorgi Margvelashvili said.
