The Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia is working with the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization to reform the Wine Agency. A working meeting was held, where the Minister of Agriculture delivered a speech.

The purpose of the new project is to improve coordination between the relevant state agencies engaged in wine sector and the private sector.
"We are working on establishing a new strategic sector in the wine sector, at the same time reorganizing and restructuring the wine sector administration. By considering more engagement in the field, we think that wine agency can be reformed and in this process it is of utmost importance to take into consideration the positions of the private sector, "said Agriculture Minister Levan Davitashvili
