The opposition responds to the initiative of the Ministry of Justice, which legalizes restriction of public information.

Irakli Abesadze, the member of the Faction "European Georgia - Movement for Freedom" states that the government tries to hide the public information on the constitutional level.

"While the activities of the government are corrupt and it is hard even for MPs to obtain public information, the government is going to extend the possibility of closing public information at the constitution level, which means that their activities will be more opaque in the future," Abesadze said.

According to Tinatin Bokuchava, secretary of United National Movement faction, the government does everything to cover public information.
