18 NGOs address the president with petition to free political prisoners

18 NGOs join General Gogi Tatukhashvili"s initiative.The initiative implies to release former veterans and law enforcers from the detention.

Representatives of the NGOs petitioned to the President"s administration today demanding the release of 17 prisoners including Bacho Akhalaia. According to them, they will introduce the initiative to international organizations.

The third sector states that Georgia has political prisoners and the direct confirmation is Strasbourg"s decision regarding Vano Merabishvili.
