Giorgi Margvelashvili has pardoned 187 convicts for the New Year, out of which 123 prisoners will leave the prison today, 64 sentences have been alleviated.

On Courier"s question in regard to pardoning Vano Merabishvili, Zviad Koridze responded that the former Prime Minister"s statement was not on the agenda of the commission.

"The Commission has considered the case of 1182 persons. Ivane Merabishvili"s statement was not on the agenda of the commission. Consequently, we have not discussed his case and we have not offered any recommendation to the president, "Koridze said.
